In the ongoing Winter Cricket Championship, Veeri Sports Club thrashed UCC Ganaroo in a thrilling by 43 runs today at Tarbal Ground Veeri Anantnag. In the match, Veeri Sports outclassed UCC Ganaroo in all departments and qualified for the next stage in the tournament with the mighty Victory.
Earlier, while batting first Veeri Sports set the mammoth total of 187 runs on the board in the allotted 25 overs, with brilliant knock of 46 runs by Umer Hameed and 35 by Aadil Rashid. In the reply, UCC Ganaroo struggled against the decipline bowling attack of Veeri Sports, thus UCC Ganaroo failed to chase the target and lost the match by 44 runs. With this Victory, Veeri Sports booked their place in the next stage of the tournament. On the post match presentation ceremony, Dr. Riyaz Veeri was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant economical spell of 3 overs, in which he clinched two important wickets.
