Valley Stars Ganderbal, Friends Xi Langate win matches
Valley Stars Ganderbal defeated Gazi Cricket Club by 118 runs in the ongoing Kashmir Cricket League Edition-9 here at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota on Tuesday morning.
After winning the toss Gazi Cricket Club skipper invited Valley Stars Ganderbal to bat first. While batting first Valley Stars Ganderbal scored a huge total of 238 runs for the loss of three wickets.
It was a brilliant batting show by the opners Nasir Kumar and Ishtiyaq Robby, the duo scored 229 runs opening partnership, Nasir 111 and Ishtiyaq scored 97 runs for the Valley Stars. Sadaf Shabir took two and Gh Mohammad took one wicket for Gazi.
In reply, the Gazi Cricket Club batters scored 120 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Muntazir and Suhail scored 35 and 25 runs respectively.
Nadeem Dar took 4 and Mohammad Umar took two wickets for Valley Stars.
Nasir Kumar was declared player of the match for his brilliant batting, he scored 111 runs.

In the second match of the day Friends Xi Langate defeated Buraq Cricket Club by 36 runs.
Earlier after winning the toss batting first Friends Xi Langate scored a moderate total of 183 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Iqbal Bhat scored unbeaten 102 runs, while Umar Amin and Ubaid Khan scored 28 and 27 runs respectively. Syed Shahbaz, Shamim, Shabir, and Irfan Malik took one wicket each for his team.
In reply, the Buraq Cricket Club team was allout on 147 runs in the allotted 16.1 overs. Thus remained 36 runs short from the given target. Shahid Bhat and Shabir Khanday scored 44 and 43 runs respectively.
Mudasir took hat-trick, Sajad and RJ Nasir took two wickets each.
Iqbal Bhat was declared player of the match for his magnificent unbeaten century (102) runs knock.
