The Zonal Physical Education Office, Bijbehara, kick-started the U-17 Inter-School Cricket Tournament today at Jablipora, Bijbehara. The tournament was formally inaugurated by District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Anantnag, Zahoor Ahmad Wani, in the presence of the field staff of Zone Bijbehara.
On the occasion, the DYSSO interacted with the participating players, encouraged them to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, and fair play, and extended his best wishes for a successful and competitive tournament. He also urged the young cricketers to make the most of the opportunity to showcase their talent and strive for excellence.
The tournament features U-17 male cricketers of Zone Bijbehara. A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament, with around 240 young cricketers expected to take part and showcase their cricketing talent and skills to impress the selectors. At the conclusion of the tournament, the zonal-level team will be selected for the upcoming Inter-Zonal District-Level U-17 Cricket Tournament.
