Hillview Rajouri, Iqbal Cricket Club Bandipora win matches in KCL opening day.

Hillview Rajouri after winning the toss decided to bat first against The Real Sultan Sumerbugh in the inaugural match of the Annual Kashmir Cricket League Edition-9 here at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota.

It was a brilliant batting show of the Hillview batters, especially, Adil Wani the talented lad from Tral who played a solid 62 runs knock at the top, while the skipper of the side Ishtiyaq Rasool played a firey 57 runs innings. Asif Manzoor played a blistering 16 ball 39 runs innings and set the 185 runs target for Real Sultans in the allotted 18 overs.
Sajid Dar took three wickets for Summerbugh.

In reply, the Real Sultans lose their wickets in the regular intervals and Sarsheel Aabas was first to go without opening the account, Rohan Koul was the top scorer with 29 while Aakash Choudhary made 22 runs for Sultans. Imtiyaz Lefty and Gowhar Leggy took two wickets each, while Ishtiyaq Rasool, Ritik Singh and Nasir Rasool took one wicket each.

The Real Sultan Sumerbugh innings ended on 145 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 18 overs, thus Hillview Rajouri won the match by 39 runs.
Ishtiyaq Rasool was declared player of the match for his allround performance.

In another match of the day, Iqbal Cricket Club Bandipora beats FCC Kunzer in a one-sided match by 97 runs. After winning the toss the skipper of Bandipora straight away decided to set the target, while batting first Iqbal Cricket Club build a good opening wicket partnership and after that they lost few wickets bit managed to score 168 runs in the allotted 18 overs.
Mudasir Dar and Naveed Wani were the top scorer for the side with 40 and 33 respectively.
Lateef SK, Sar Ishfaq and Nisar Ahmad took two wickets each.

In reply, the FCC Kunzer team was bundled on 71 runs in 13.3 overs. Mudasir Ahmad was the top scorer with 20 while Shahid Rather scorer 15 runs, all the other batters couldn’t cross the double figure mark, thus Iqbal Cricket Club Bandipora won the match by 97 runs.
Sheikh Javid was declared player of the match, he scored unbeaten 23 runs and took three wickets.
