The Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering & Winter Sports (JIM&WS) successfully conducted its inaugural Method of Instruction Course in Skiing (MOI-01) at Sonamarg from February 22 to March 7, 2025. The course was held under the esteemed guidance of Col. Hem Chandra Singh, Principal of JIM&WS, a master of adventure sports across land, air, and water, alongside Everester Mahfooz Ilahi, a highly experienced skier and mountaineer.The 14-day intensive program saw participation from trainees across India, including three from Jammu & Kashmir Mr Tajinder singh, Mr Mudasir yaqoob Najar and Mr Tahir shafi . The course focused on teaching and instructional methodologies in various skiing techniques, equipping participants with advanced skills to become proficient instructors.
