Burn Hall School registered a thrilling two-wicket win over DPS Srinagar in the Under-14 inter-school cricket tournament organised by the Amira Kadal Zone.
After winning the toss, DPS Srinagar opted to bat first and put up a competitive total of 141/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Their batsmen showed steady application, setting a challenging target for their opponents.
In reply, Burn Hall School held their nerves in a closely fought contest to chase down the total. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, they reached 144/8 in 19.2 overs to seal the victory with just four balls to spare.The match remained evenly poised throughout, providing an exciting contest for spectators. Samad emerged as the star performer for Burn Hall School and was adjudged Man of the Match for his crucial knock of 46 runs off just 27 balls, which played a decisive role in the successful chase.
