Kashmir Cricket League Edition-9
Buraq Cricket Club defeated Gazi Cricket Club by 10 wickets in the ongoing Kashmir Cricket League Edition-9 at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota.
After winning the toss and invited Gazi Cricket Club to bat first by the skipper of Buraq Cricket Club. It was a shortest match in the terms of overs as only 7.1 overs were delivered in the 20/20 overs match.
Batting first Gazi Cricket Club team was bundled on 20 runs including 11 extra runs in the 5.2 overs they faced and whole teams was bundled with the help of Syed Shahbaaz’s brutal bowling as he bowled 3 overs give-away 8 runs and took 5 wicket haul for Buraq Cricket Club while Shahid Bhat took three and Shamim too one wicket.
From Gazi Cricket Club the highest scorer scored 4 runs and 6 batters couldn’t open the account.
In reply, the Buraq Cricket Club opners finished the target in 1.5 overs as Shabir Khanday scored 14 and Tajamul 3.
Syed Shahbaaz was declared player of the match for his brilliant bowling spell in which he took 5 wicket haul.
In the 2nd match of the day, the Valley Stars Ganderbal defeated Friends Xi Langate by 88 runs, after winning the toss the Skipper of Valley Stars straight away decided to bat first.
Batting first Valley Stars Ganderbal scored a huge total of 216 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Nasir Kumar was in full mode as he fired 87 off 35 deliveries while on other side the hitman of Bandipora Ishtiyaq Robby played a well composed 42 off 23 deliveries, Adil Zahoor scored 31 off 17 and Junaid Bashir in the end fired 14 off 6 deliveries.
RJ Nazir took 4, Majid Kachur took 3 and BS took 2 wickets. In reply, Friends Xi Langate team scored 128 runs allout in 17.1 overs. Ubaid Khan, Muzafar Lone and BS crossed the double figure mark, 36, 28, and 11 runs respectively. Thus Valley Stars Ganderbal won the match by 88 runs.
Nasir Bashir Kumar was declared player of the match for his brilliant batting, he scored 87 runs.
