Kashmir Cricket League Edition-9
MuzTali Bricks Cricket Club defeated Blue Hunks Kashmir by 6 wickets in the ongoing Kashmir Cricket League Edition-9 here at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota on Thursday morning match.
Earlier, MuzTali Bricks skipper won the toss and invited Blue Hunks Kashmir to set the target on a batting friendly wicket. While batting first Blue Hunks Kashmir got an average start as the first wicket fell on 20 while second wicket got out on 56 and the half of the team was back to pavilion on 64. Blue Hunks managed to score 112 runs allout in 18.5 overs.
Faisal scored 27 and Wani Rayees added 22 runs were the top scorers for the team. The skipper S Wasif also played 19 runs innings.Faizan Rouf took 4, Mohsin Wani and Basit Bashir took three wickets each for the team MuzTali Bricks.
In reply, The MuzTali Bricks Cricket Club achieved the target in 15.1 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.Asif Ali scored 67 while Mohsin Manzoor scored unbeaten 12 runs for MuzTali Bricks.Lateef Raja took three wickets for Hunks.
Mohsin Wani was declared player of the match for his allround performance, he took three wickets and scored 10 runs.
In another match of the day, The S&A Sports Club defeated Sultan Warriors Baramulla by 6 wickets.
Earlier, after winning the toss S&A Cricket Club invited Sultans to set the target, while batting first Sultan Warriors Baramulla batters couldn’t put a big score on the board as the team was allout on 121 runs in 18.2 overs. Asif Rasool and Waseem Kachur played 47 and 20 runs innings respectively, rest of the players couldn’t build any big partnership. Affan Wani took 4, Aijaz Salu and Mohammad Aaman took two wickets each for the team.
In reply, the S&A Sports Club batters achieved the target in 14.2 overs after losing 4 wickets, Muhammad Munazir was the top scorer with 83 runs and Affan Wani made 15 runs contribution in the chase. Thus S&A Sports Club won the match by 6 wickets. Affan Wani was declared player of the match for his allround performance, he took 4 wickets and scored 15 runs.
