Bhat Lions enter in to the quarter-finals of KCL2026

Bhat Lions Kupwara defeated Tral Hunters Cricket Club by 16 runs in the ongoing Kashmir Cricket League Edition-9 here at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota on Saturday afternoon.

After winning the toss Bhat Lions Kupwara skipper straight away decided to set the target in a flat track of Gharota. While batting first Bhat Lions scored a moderate total of 175 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sammar Amin was the highest scorer with unbeaten 47 runs while Afaz Hanief scored 36, Ovais Shah 29, and Liyaqat Lone added 25 runs for the Lions. For Tral Hunters Uzair Feroz took three while Riyaz Najar took two wickets.

In reply, the Tral Hunters remained 16 runs short from the target and were restricted on 159 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. They could have managed to chase the target but they were not looking to win the match, as none of the batter hits any big shorts which lead them exit from the league as their NRR was not better than BCC Chanderkote which qualified for the Knockouts.

Uzair Feroz 57 and Aijaz Rather scored 41 runs were the highest scorers for the side.

For Bhat Lions Kupwara, Irfan Ul Haq took three wickets was declared player of the match.
