BCC Chanderkote are in to the semis of the ongoing Kashmir Cricket League Edition-9 at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota.
After winning the toss Skipper of Bhat Lions Kupwara invited BCC Chanderkote to set the target, while batting first BCC Chanderkote with the help of Amir Lefty’s brilliant 61, Asif Muzafar’s 27, and Mohd Iqbal’s 18 runs scored 183 for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 19 overs. Naveed Bungree took two wickets for Lions.
In reply, the Bhat Lions Kupwara fought well but fell 7 runs short front the target, they scored 176 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 19 overs.Javid Jadu took 4 wickets and Adil Kachur took two for BCC. Javid Jadu was declared player of the match for his match winning bowling spell in which he took four wickets.
In second quarter-final match of the day, Hillview Rajouri defeated The Real Sultan Sumerbugh by 9 runs in a thrilling last over finish match.After winning the toss Hillview Rajouri decided to set the target, while batting first they scored 172 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 19 overs.Qazi Junaid the talented batter was the top scorer with 36, while Aqib Mir added 27, Ishtiyaq Rasool and Asif Manzoor scored 24 runs each for the team.Sajid Dar took three, and Ankush Bandral took two wickets for the team.
In reply The Real Sultan Sumerbugh batters fought well but couldn’t finish the target on winning note they remained 9 runs short from the target. They were required 22 runs in the last over and they managed 12 runs in the last over thus remained 10 runs short from the target.Irfan Mir was the top scorer with 42, while Arjun scored 40, Sajid Dar added 24 and Faisal Dar hits 18 runs for the team.Ishtiyaq Rasool, Nasir Rasool, and Rithik Singh took two wickets each for the team.
Ishtiyaq Rasool was declared player of the match for his allround performance, he scored 24 runs and took two wickets.
