In a high-octane showdown witnessed by thousands of passionate cricket fans at the Sports Stadium Magam, Friends Motors Narbal emerged victorious in the grand finale of the Magam T20 Knockout Cricket Tournament (MKT 2025). They clinched the title with a three-wicket win over Muraad Cricket Club in a nail-biting last-over finish on Sunday.
After winning the toss, Friends Motors Narbal elected to bowl first, putting Muraad Cricket Club to bat in the high-stakes 20-over final. Muraad had a shaky start, losing their top three batters—Sarsheel, Gowhar, and Irfan Lara—with just 27 runs on the board. However, a resilient 59-run partnership between Dardish Ghoni (22) and Imtiyaz Lefty steadied the innings.
What followed was a batting masterclass from Imtiyaz Lefty and Pandav. Lefty played a magnificent knock of 68 runs, while Pandav unleashed a blistering 49 off just 17 balls. Their 85-run stand propelled Muraad to a commanding total. Contributions from Manzoor Dar and an unbeaten 50 from Zahid Dar pushed the team’s final score to a formidable 234 runs.
In response, Friends Motors Narbal spectacularly chased down the target, sealing the victory with just one ball to spare. The chase was anchored by Asif Rasool, who played a heroic knock of 96 runs, falling just short of a well-deserved century. Supporting contributions from Ishtiyaq Rasool (44), Jahangir Lone (23), and a finishing six from Adil Reshi (19*) ensured Friends Motors crossed the line in a thrilling climax.
Ishtiyaq Rasool was named Player of the Final and awarded Rs 3,000 for his explosive performance, while Imtiyaz Lefty of Muraad Cricket Club was declared Player of the Tournament, taking home Rs 7,000.
