In a thrilling finale of the 6T Spring League 2025 held at Country Cricket Stadium, Safran Cricket Club delivered a commanding performance to defeat Amigos Cricket Club by 8 wickets. Winning the toss, Amigos chose to bat first and posted a total of 145/8 in their 20 overs. Their innings was anchored by Zeshan, who scored a gritty 50 off 38 balls, while Sohan Singh (18) and Shailender Slathia (15) provided brief support. However, Safran’s bowling unit, led by Sarthak Khoda with figures of 3/36, and aided by Surya Udhay Singh (2/22) and Pradeep Singh (2/24), consistently picked wickets to restrict the scoring.
Chasing 146, Safran came out all guns blazing, thanks to a stunning unbeaten 89 off 43 balls by Shaurya, whose knock included 10 fours and 5 sixes. He was well-supported by Rohit (23 off 25), while Lazit Sharma and Sukhiee ensured the chase stayed on track. Safran reached the target comfortably in just 14.3 overs, showcasing dominant batting and strategic execution.
At the post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma of Amigos was declared the Man of the Series for his all-round performances throughout the tournament. Sandeep Bali of JPC was named Best Batsman, while Shikhar Tandon of Safran Cricket Club earned the Best Bowler award. Amigos Cricket Club were crowned runners-up, putting up a spirited fight throughout the league and in the final.
