DGP directs officers for admirable arrangements

Jammu, January 23: Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid chaired a high level meeting at Conference Hall of PHQ Jammu to finalise the arrangements for 66th B.N. Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship-2017 to be held at Jammu from February 1 tom 11. The chairman of different committees constituted for the championship briefed the DGP regarding the arrangements.

Speaking on the occasion, DGP impressed upon the officers to put all the resources to use for the smooth conduct of the event. He directed them to ensure best possible facilities with regard to arrival/reception of the teams, officials and guests, their boarding and lodging. He directed for putting in place foolproof plans with regard to transport and holding of matches. Dr. Vaid directed that youth particularly the students should be invited to witness the matches. He also directed to provide all medical facilities including ambulances and doctors / para medical staff at the venues of matches.

Thirty six teams from all over India have confirmed their participation. The event will be played at three different location in Jammu. The opening ceremony will be held at Gulshan Ground, Jammu on 01.02.2018 and the final match of the championship shall be held at Jammu University on 11.02.2018. It has been decided to honour all the international players of J&K, during the championship.

The Meeting was attended by Spl. DGP, PHQ, ADGP Armed, Shri V.K Singh, DG/Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh, Shri A.K Chaudhary, ADGP Crime, Shri Alok Puri, IGsP Shri S.D. Singh Jamwal, Shri Rajesh Kumar, Shri Danish Rana, Shri Shafqat Watali, Shri Alok Kumar, Shri Surinder Gupta, Shri Ashkoor Wani and other senior officers.
