Murad Cricket Club emerged champions of the TCI Max Kashmir Cricket League, Jammu 2025 defeating Sultan Warriors by seven wickets in the final match played at Country Cricket Stadium Garota Jammu on 13th of February.
Sultan Warriors, who batted first, managed to post a modest total of 125 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Jehangir Ahmad top-scored for the team with a valuable 38 runs.
Muraad’s run-chase was led by Imtiyaz Lefty, who played a match-winning knock of 44 runs. Aqib Mir and Jehangir Lone chipped in with 27 runs each, helping their team to achieve the target in just 16.2 overs.
The foundation of Muraad’s victory was laid by their bowlers, particularly Asif Rasool and Rouf Bashir. The duo broke the back of Sultan Warriors batting line-up, sharing 5 wickets between them. Rouf picked up three wickets, while Asif claimed 2.
With this convincing victory, Murad lifted the coveted TCI Max Kashmir Cricket League trophy, capping off a remarkable campaign.
Player of the Match was declared Rouf Bashir who took three important wickets. Aqib Mir was declared player of the tournament for his allround performance in the tournament, he was given Rs 5k cash award, Anthem Sports India bat and a beautiful Trophy. Boyee Meer was given best batter of the tournament award while Aqib Mir wins Best bowler of the tournament award also.
The winners were given a cash award of Rs 100K, a Trophy and individual awards for all the players while runner-up team received Rs 50K and all the team members received individual awards.
The tournament garnered massive viewership, with millions tuning in on Facebook and YouTube, and lakhs watched via the Cricheroes app.
The tournament, which was broadcast live on JKSportstime’s Facebook and YouTube channels, saw Murad emerge as deserving champions. The Cricheroes app was used for scoring and updating different records throughout the tournament.
