Bhat Lions Kupwara Storm In To The Semifinals of Kashmir Premier League

Bhat Lions Kupwara secured a thrilling 33-run victory against Islamia Cricket Club in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Kashmir Premier League held at Shubham Academy, Vijaypur, Jammu.

After winning the toss, Bhat Lions Kupwara elected to bat first in this high-pressure encounter. They set a challenging target of 180 runs for Islamia CC. Malik Waseem led the charge with the bat, scoring 36 runs, while Tahir Mir and Sajid Aamla contributed 24 runs each. Rohit Choudhary was the standout bowler for Islamia, picking up three crucial wickets.

In response, Islamia Cricket Club got off to a flying start, reaching 113 for the loss of just one wicket by the 13th over. However, the match turned dramatically when Rahil Lefty dismissed Umair Reshi, who was leading the chase with a brilliant 74 runs. Suhaib Altaf added 40 runs to the tally, but the team faltered under pressure and was bowled out for 143 runs. Rahil Lefty and Shah Hashim were the star bowlers for Bhat Lions Kupwara, each taking three wickets. Tahir Mir and skipper Sajid Bhat also made significant contributions with two wickets apiece.

With this comprehensive victory, Bhat Lions Kupwara advanced to the semifinals. Rahil Lefty was named Player of the Match for his stellar all-round performance, scoring 16 runs and taking three key wickets. Tahir Mir was given game changer award.
