Sultan Warriors Baramulla Clinches Victory Against Muraad Cricket Club in Kashmir Premier League 2025

In a nail-biting encounter in the ongoing Kashmir Premier League 2025, Sultan Warriors Baramulla edged past Muraad Cricket Club by a mere four runs, securing a spot in the semi-finals.

After losing the toss, Sultan Warriors were put to bat by Muraad Cricket Club. Despite the batting-friendly pitch, the Sultans faced early setbacks as openers Asim Bashir (16) and Waseem Kachur (20) departed quickly, leaving the team reeling at 38/2. However, a crucial 60-run partnership between Bagminder (26) and Zahoor Xolo stabilized the innings. Xolo’s brilliant knock of 62 runs stood out, though the remaining batters failed to contribute significantly. The Sultans posted a competitive total of 178/9 in 20 overs.

For Muraad Cricket Club, skipper Auqib Mir and Amir Aziz led the bowling attack, each claiming three wickets. International cricketer Parveez Rasool showcased his experience, conceding just 20 runs in his four-over spell.

Chasing 179, Muraad Cricket Club had a promising start but faltered under pressure. The team lost quick wickets, with Ishtiyaq Rasool (33) providing a glimmer of hope early on. Despite a composed 71-run partnership between Parveez Rasool (33) and Imtiyaz Lefty (38), the team crumbled in the final overs.

The highlight of the chase came in the last over, with 11 runs needed. Manzoor Pandav hit a six off the first ball, igniting hope, but his dismissal on the next delivery shifted the momentum. Bowler Rithik Singh held his nerve, dismissing Amir Aziz and sealing a memorable victory for the Sultans as Muraad Cricket Club was bowled out for 174 runs.

Rithik Singh, Sahil Khan, and Bhagmender took two wickets each while the skipper took one wicket for the Sultans.

  • Player of the Match: Anchal Singh, for his exceptional three-wicket haul.
  • Game Changer Award: Zahoor Xolo, for his match-defining innings of 62 runs.

This thrilling quarter-final will be remembered as one of the most exciting clashes in the tournament, setting the stage for an electrifying semi-final round.
