The fourth season of the Kashmiri Pandit Cricket League (KPCL) concluded with a grand finale at the Country Cricket Stadium, Ghrota, Jammu, after a successful seven-day tournament featuring 12 fiercely competitive teams. With “Yes We Can” lifting the championship trophy, the tournament drew enthusiastic support from community members in India and abroad, promoting unity, sports, and a healthy lifestyle under the motto “United Hearts.”
In the closing ceremony, graced by noted social activist Dr. Sandeep Mawa, the importance of such tournaments in fostering community bonds was highlighted. Dr. Mawa also praised the Khoda family and Vikrant Sharma for their dedication in creating the impressive Country Cricket Stadium.
The championship-winning Yes We Can team claimed a cash prize of ₹35,000, while Satisar took the runner-up trophy and a prize of ₹25,000. Hemant was celebrated as the Man of the Series, with Sidharth earning Best Bowler, Rahul taking Best Fielder, and Hemant also winning Best Batsman.
The tournament, made possible by dedicated officials Arun Zalpuri, Ajay Peshin, Rahul Kaul, Vicky, Bhavish Pandita, Harit Khoda, and Sonu Zuthshi, saw excellent teamwork and fair play. Ashok , Vijay, Girdhari, Amit gill were umpires. Mansoor and Nazir was behind the live telecast and commentary.
A soulful Saraswati Vandana by singer Samiksha enriched the closing ceremony. Completing KPCL Season 4 within seven days marked a historic achievement, showcasing top-level cricket while uniting the Kashmiri Pandit community through the spirit of the game.
