Veeri Sports lifts Veeri Premier League VPL

Title Veeri Sports lifts the title of Veeri Premier League 2024 by defeated KCC Kanjigund by 7 wickets in the final match played today on 27/10/2024 here at Tarbal ground Veeri Anantnag. On the opening Ceremony MLA Bijbehara Dr. Syed Bashir Ahmad Veeri was the chief guest, who interacted with the players and wished them best of luck for the final match. In the match, KCC Kanjigund while batting first set the target small of 138 runs in alloted overs, in which Umer scored 41 runs as highest. From Veeri Sports Mehran Altaf clinched 3 important wickets. In response, Veeri Sports played brilliantly and chased down the target in 14th over with 7 wickets in hand, in which Zeeshan Farooq played inning of 48 runs. Thus Veeri Sports emerged as Champion team of the League. On the post match presentation Ceremony, Man of the Match award was shared between Mehran Altaf and Zeeshan Farooq for their outstanding performances of 3 wickets and 48 runs respectively. Aadil Rashid of Veeri Sports was declared as man of the Tournament for his 150 runs and 8 wickets throughout the tournament. The Winning team was given a Winning Trophy and Cash Prize of 60 thousand rupees. The Runner up team got Trophy and 30 thousand rupees cash prize. The Tournament was organized by Veeri Cricket Association on the Tarbal ground Veeri Anantnag. In the tournament a total of 16 teams from South Kashmir participated with zeal and zest.
