Following the successful model of the Indian Premier League (IPL), this exciting tournament promises to bring together the best cricketing talent from the region.
Mr. Emraan Bhat, the esteemed organizer of Dalgate Sports Club, shared that a pre-bidding meeting was recently held with team owners, including Dr. Touseef Ahmed, the esteemed Chief Spokesperson of Dalgate Sports Club said emphasized the importance of utilizing sports as a platform to combat drug abuse, highlighting the club’s commitment to this cause. Adv Bashir Sidiq said that The Kashmir Cup Season 2 will witness the participation of top teams from the region, including Sky Star Budgam, Cafe Back Country, Sultan Warriors Baramullah, Eleven Brothers Kashmir, Royal Goodwill, Bhat Lions Kupwara, and Valley Fresh Cold Chain.
The tournament will be held at the iconic TRC Ground, a venue known for hosting thrilling matches and showcasing exceptional cricketing talent.
Mr. Javeed Ahmed Shah, another key organizer of DSC, expressed his excitement for the event, stating that approximately 800 players will be part of the auction process. This initiative aims to not only unearth new talent but also to promote sports culture in the entire Kashmir, providing a platform for budding cricketers to showcase their skills and passion for the game.
Hilal Ahmed Bhat (Retd DySP), the esteemed patron of the club, was also present during the pre-bidding meeting, underscoring the club’s dedication to fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants.
