Hamdan Hurricanes Pip Sky Star Budgam in the second semi final of Shalabugh Champions League.

Aadil Reshi Led Hamdan Hurricanes set title clash date with Ali Jana CC after they beat Sky Stars Budgam by 14 runs in the second semifinal match of Shalabugh Champions League.

Earlier, in the afternoon Sky Stars captain after winning the toss opted to bowl first hoping of a good start with the ball but the opening duo of Hamdans Samar and Chaprana built a solid opening partnership of 83 runs at the 9th over mark with the bulk of the scoring being done by Samar Amin who added 54 to his personal score of 36 balls. Soon the Sky stars bowlers did a decent recovery with timely breakthroughs which meant that Hamdans could not capitalise on the start as much as the would have liked. They could only manoeuvre 86 in the last 11 overs and posted a decent 169 on the board. Samar was the top scorer for them and was well aided by Zeeshan Rabadas 33 and Chapranas 24. Sky stars bowlers bowled decent lines in the middle phase of the innings with Shahid Shabir being pick of the bowlers with a 2 fer to his name conceeding at sixes in his 4 overs spell.

Sky stars would have fancied their chances of chasing down a modest 170 given the depth in their batting order. However, they were dealt with an early blow at 24 when Saqib Pandiya was nicked off by Amir Aziz. Sky stars were restricted to 56 for 3 before a match threatning partnership was built by the experienced duo of Saqib Nazir and Aadil Kachroo. When thus duo was at the crease the hearts of Hamdans would have been in their mouths but a good delivery from Arun Chaprana saw the back of Aadil Kachuru and soon Saqib was also sent packing by Arun Chaprana and eventually Hamdans tightened the screws on Sky Stars batters and made life tough for them before they caught them short of the target by 14 runs. The win meant that Hamdan will now meet Ali Jana in the summit clash. Aadil Was the top scorer for Sky stars with 51 followed by saqib nazir who scored 36. Hamdan bowling attack was led by Arun Chaprana who accounted for 3 sky stars batters while as Amir Aziz also bagged 2 whilst remaining on the economical side.Later at the post match presentation ceremony Arun Chaprana was declared the player of the match.
